Bendigo Win! (A Quarter)
By Macca87
Anyway just returned from Windy Hill after a very cold & wet afternoon. A fairly good turn out despite the conditions and were quite vocal after the rare Bomber goals. It was also ridiculously dark in the second half, particularly at the start of the last quarter – unsure why they didn’t get the yellow footballs out or put the lights on.
Bock can’t play AFL this season – so raw and rarely got the ball. He spent time in the forward line in the first quarter and looked out of it and could not get any clean ball. Has a massive amount to learn.
Myers was disappointing and made some critical errors but his intensity at the contests could not be questioned. I think he is one of those players who would look much better in a more competitive side, which Bendigo clearly isn’t at the moment.
All bias aside, Welsh was CLEARLY our best player. Doubt he would of got massive numbers possession wise but looked head and shoulders above the others on the ground when it came to poise and intensity at the contests. He’d be a very likely inclusion for the Melbourne game.
Daniher was OK, well would of been one of our better players out of a fairly poor bunch today. Like Myers though, would probably prosper more in a better side.
Surprised to read Atkinson’s name in the best players – was OK but nothing special. His game would certainly not warrant a recall to Essendon.
Tyson Slattery appeared to injure his leg during the final quarter but went back on the ground at the end of the last without much obvious discomfort so it cannot be too serious.
I’ll conclude by saying that Ricky Dyson’s girlfriend, Cara, is a total stunner. That is all.
