McVeigh will not play seniors next week. Barely spotted today.

Reimers was decent, apart from some scrubby kicks skidding through to their target rather than hitting the chest.

Hurley was led to the ball a bit in the first half but won pretty much all the actual contests. Not many opportunities up front in the second half.

Laycock’s tapping was very good, he took a few nice marks around the ground, and his defiant slotting of a goal from fifty when everyone was handball-happy was highly enjoyed.

First time I’ve seen Prismall in action; had plenty and uses it pretty well.

Tyson Slattery was pretty poor until the last quarter, when he escaped from the back line. Atkinson, in a similar role, was better but not a standout.

Bock must have turned sideways; I barely noticed him.

Nash was OK. Myers was better.

Lucas had a bit of a spurt in the third quarter, but otherwise was badly beaten and run off. Delivery to him was crap though.

Quinn did a few dances up the middle of the ground. His kicking may still occasionally be a disaster, but his handball and evasion skills are awesome.

Daniher was his usual aggressive self.

Skipworth was solid, lots of touch.

Reiwoldt made Terry Wallace look like more of an idiot, kicking plenty. He also took the bait (good naturedly) in the fourth quarter, thereby becoming our favourite target of abuse. He was out-shone by the goal ump in the first half, though, who absolutely owned a certain Essendon fan who couldn’t count how many flags were strapped to the goal posts…
